What's New? Michelle just returned from her third session with Clay Harper. I must say this was the best two weeks yet! Kali is pivoting, side passing an L, backing through an L, crossing bridges and water, going on trail rides, just to name of few of her recent accomplishments! Please read her page to read her story and get details on her progress. There are so many things Michelle is learning; not only great training methods, but also information on the benefits of equine chiropractics and acupuncture as well as a new and exciting equine supplement that helps with stress, ulcers, weight loss, colic, boosts immune systems, among other benefits. Please contact Michelle for more information on this product!

I am not sure Bryan really knew what he was getting himself into when he married me! I have been obsessed with horses my entire life, and in 2002 finally convinced Bryan to move me back to the country so I could once again have horses in my back yard. We moved out of Colorado Springs and onto 50 acres about 30 minutes east of town. I slowly acquired more horses, and Bryan and Zack have slowly grown to appreciate them! When I started volunteering for Rocky Mountain Foal Rescue in 2002 I had no idea how much it would impact my life! I had always wanted a draft horse, and when a load of PMU drafts and draft crosses came in, I was hooked! We got our first PMU, a perch/paint cross yearling filly that spring. We all fell in love with the draft personality, and I love the full draft size, so our fate was sealed! I had always dreamed of owning a horse business and in 2004 we decided to make that dream come true. It is a long, hard road to start a horse business and I hope we can make it a success. I know I want to raise and train horses and it has not been a difficult decision to focus on draft horses and mules~ while we love all horses, there is just something special about the big guys! We plan to center the business around preserving America's work horse heritage, and we hope to raise and train working horses. We plan to get many pieces of horse-drawn equipment to use around the place. You get no where if you do not dream, and I am dreaming big! Since becoming involved with RMFR and the PMU industry I have come face to face with the high number of horses needing homes. I plan to take in otherwise unwanted equines and train them and find them good homes as well.

Kitana, the horse responsible for getting me hooked on PMUs! Kit is a 4 year old black and white perch/paint cross mare. She is my curious little kitten, and will follow me anywhere! She has recently given us Jake the mule, and will hopefully send some of her attributes his way!! Achilles, a HUGE, graying 3 year old registered percheron PMU. Ace is my main man! He truly posses the gentle giant nature, and is taking to driving training like an old pro! He is a main attraction here, standing at just over 18hh at three years old... Thorin Oakenshield, Bryan's two year old black Clyde PMU. Thor got his name from the Hobbit book~with all of his belly, chin and leg feathers he reminded us of a dwarf, and Thorin was one of the main characters in the book. Thor had a rough start, but man was he a diamond in the rough! He will look great pulling a cart single one of these days!! Kali is a four year old Clydesdale mare from a PMU farm. She has come so far since she first arrived here, she is proving to be an absolute pleasure to work with and I feel truly blessed to have found her!! Princess is our newest addition! She is a 4 year old AQHA buckskin mare. She hasn't had much done with her yet, but she has a very willing, curious attitude and I think she will prove to be a wonderful trail horse-and who knows, she just might carry Bryan or I into the Ranch Horse Versatility world...
